Jumping in the deep end....that is exactly how it felt yesterday, as I made my way to the Mind Lab in Petone. Yet once I was there, I knew I had made the right decision. To be in a room with many like minded individuals, all who want the best educational opportunities for the students in their care is inspiring, nerve wracking and exciting all at the same time. The thought provoking discussions that took place around 'What is knowledge?' really made me question myself and my thinking, around exactly what I want my students to know and do.
One of the best parts of yesterday was getting to meet a fellow collaborator, face to face. Although we had met in the online world in 2015, we had not met in person and it was great to actually meet in person. In 2015 we worked together on a project designed to connect kids around the world, and it did just that. Now we need to spread the word and get others on board this amazing journey that we are about to commence.
Create a movement...courageously follow...have the guts to stand up and join in!
